AP Physics B Tutoring in Los Angeles with Devon Review

AP Physics B is a very challenging course because it is a college-level course taught at the high school level in Los Angeles. Students often find having a private in-home AP physics tutor can help them better understand the significant amount of the AP physics test material.  There are many topics covered in this course with the ultimate goal of tutoring being a 5 on the AP physics exam. The AP physics exam is divided into five main sections: Newtonian Mechanics (35%), Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Physics (15%), Electricity and Magnetism (25%), Waves and Optics (15%), Atomic and Nuclear Physics (10%). We offer tutoring for both AP Physics B and C.  We have outlined the topics for AP physics B.

The AP Physics Newtonian Mechanics section is divided into six subsections: Kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, Work, energy, power, Systems of particles, linear momentum, Circular motion and rotation, and Oscillations and gravitation.

The AP Physics Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Physics section is divided into three subjections: Fluid Mechanics, Temperature and heat, Kinetic theory and thermodynamics.

The AP Physics Electricity and Magnetism section is divided into five subjections: Electrostatics, Conductors, capacitors, dielectrics, Electric circuits, Magnetic Fields, and Electromagnetism.

The AP Physics Waves and Optics section is divided into three subjections: Wave motion, Physical optics, and Geometric optics.

The AP Physics Atomic and Nuclear Physics section is divided into two subjections: Atomic physics and quantum effects and Nuclear physics.
